Lee County Wins Tri-County 3A Title – Beats Southern Lee 44-0

The Lee County Yellow Jackets won their 3rd straight Tri-County 3A title with a convincing 44-0 win over Southern Lee Friday night at Paul Gay Stadium.    The Yellow Jackets took advantage of 4 Cavalier turnovers and solid efforts by the Yellow Jacket offense and defense to win their 34th consecutive regular season game.    AJ Boulware led the Lee County rushing attack with 160 yards on 19 carries and 3 TDs while Colin Johnson finished the night 11 of 15 for 145 yards and 2 scores.   Lee County finished with 465 yards of total offense and Southern Lee finished with 143, only 24 yards of offense and two 1st downs in 2nd half.    Lee County finishes the season at 11-0, 5-0 while the Cavaliers finish at 6-4 and 3-2.    Both teams are expected to be in the playoffs next Friday night.
