WFJA Announces Sanford Area Basketball Schedule
The 18th consecutive year of Sanford Area Basketball will begin next week and showcase local high school and college basketball teams from the Sandhills Area. The SAB lineup will include the Southern Lee Cavaliers and Lee County Yellow Jackets for 12 local high school matchups and a total of 8 college games featuring the Central Carolina Community College Cougars and the Sandhills CC Flyers. The entire 20-game schedule is posted under “Sports” and “Sanford Area Basketball” on the WFJA/WWGP website and includes dates and game times for the broadcasts.
The Southern Lee Cavaliers and the Lee County Yellow Jackets compete in the Tri-County 3A Conference and WFJA will feature many key Tri-County 3A matchups. Sandhills CC and CCCC both compete in the NJCAA Region 10 and WFJA will feature both head-to-head matchups with the two schools among the 8 college broadcasts.
