Pinecrest to Host Cavaliers

The Southern Lee Cavaliers will be looking to right the ship after a home loss in the season opener to Hoke County by a 19-6 score this past Monday night. Only problem, the Cavs will be looking for their first win on the road against the Pinecrest Patriots. Pinecrest turned around their football program in the last 10 years and have been among the top 4A teams in the state the last several seasons, finishing 11-4 last season and reaching the Eastern Finals before losing to eventual 4A champion Wake Forest.

Southern Lee (0-1) will need to improve the running numbers to compliment Thomas Harrington’s passing and Pinecrest may prove a difficult place to rebound.

Pinecrest (1-0) beat Concord 21-13 in their opener despite massive penalty yardage – something they will be looking to improve on this Friday night.
