Lee County Beats Western Harnett – Improves to 10-0
The Lee County Yellow Jackets rolled up 381 yards of offense in the 1st half on 18 plays for 7 touchdowns and beat Western Harnett by a 68-6 score Friday night at Eagle Stadium. The Lee defense held to the Eagles to -4 yards of offense on their 1st four possessions to set the tone as Lee County improved to 4-0 in Tri-County 3A play. AJ Boulware had 208 yards – all in the 1st half on 9 carries for 3 scores and Colin Johnson was 7 of 9 for 166 yards and 2 scores. The lone Western touchdown came on a 90-yard kickoff return by Jea’Sean Snipes in the 3rd quarter. The Yellow Jackets finished with 507 yards of offense to 89 for the Eagles. Lee County forced 4 turnovers – 3 fumbles and one interception by Sincere Goldston. Lee County will face Southern Lee at home next Friday and Western Harnett will close out the regular season at Union Pines.
