Southern Lee Gets 1st Win 47-17 Over Northwood
The Southern Lee Cavaliers rode the hot first half arm of Senior Quarterback Thomas Harrington, and a stubborn defense that forced three first half turnovers, to pick up their first win of the 2019 season by defeating Northwood 47-17. The Cavaliers scored 6 first half touchdowns including 4 TD passes by Harrington to put the game away early. Harrington played just the first half and was 5 for 8, 225 yards and 4 touchdown passes, the opening one a 55 yard toss to Tanoah Lockley in the first quarter to give the Cavs a 7-0 lead. The Cavalier defense forced 5 Charger turnovers in all and added a safety on the night. Southern Lee improves to 1-2 on the season and comes home next Friday night to play Cedar Ridge in a non-conference game. Northwood drops to 0-3.
